As a financial advisor, John’s practice focuses on financial planning for high net worth individuals and business owners, with an emphasis on tax reduction strategies and charitable giving. His areas of expertise include planning for high net worth individuals and business owners, tax reduction strategies, estate analysis, charitable giving, business succession planning, and long-term care planning.
John graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Boston College in 1984. John continued his education and earned his .J.D. in 1987 and LL.M., Taxation in 1992 from Boston University*. John holds NASAA Series 66 securities registrations as well as life and health insurance licenses.
Johns commitment to his expertise and integrity is seen through his involvement with the many professional organizations. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Tax Section and Probate and Real Property Sections, a former chairperson of the Tax Law Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association, member and former president of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Worcester County, corporator and scholarship committee member of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, and a member of the Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts.
John and his wife Sandy live in Holden MA. They have two sons and one daughter. Outside of work John enjoys golf, theater, music and spending time with his family.
As a financial advisor, Chris’ practice focuses on financial planning for individuals and business owners that have a desire to leave a lasting legacy. We accomplish this with an emphasis on tax reduction strategies and charitable gifting. Chris’ areas of expertise include education funding, IRA rollovers, and long-term care planning.
Chris graduated, summa cum laude, with a B.A. from Boston College in 1974. He continued his education earning his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College in 1977*. Chris holds NASAA Series 66 security registrations.
Other professional and community involvement includes serving as a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Probate Law Section, member of the Worcester County Bar Association Probate Law Section and Estate and Business Planning Council of Worcester County, trustee of the Goddard/Homestead, Inc., corporator and scholarship committee member of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, Inc. and Town Moderator of Shrewsbury, MA.
Chris and his wife Jayne reside in Shrewsbury MA. They have one son, one daughter and four grandsons. When not at work Chris enjoys golf, movies, and spending time with his family.
Helen is the primary contact for questions about statements, checks, and questions regarding servicing of your account. Helen has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, starting out in banking and transitioning to investments in 1987. She has been working with B & D Advisors since 2005.
Helen attended Assumption College, evenings, earning her Associates degree in Business Administration in 1986. She continued her education earning a Financial Planning Certificate in 2003 with the College for Financial Planning. and a Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL) designation in 2010 from The American College. Helen holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 securities registrations, and life and health insurance licenses.
Helen is currently a member of the Estate Planning and Business Council of Worcester. She has been a member of the United Way Women’s Initiative for several years and a frequent mentor for their Dollar $cholar Program.
Helen and her husband Steve live in Paxton MA. When not at work Helen enjoys yoga, gardening, and reading.
